What

Giuseppe will explain how OpenStack & Ansible were introduced alongside the existing VMWare infrastructure to decrease cost, decrease the number of requests for the centralised IT team and leverage Microsoft Azure for front-end public services.

Who

Giuseppe is an IT Architect and Security Expert with an interesting background in Open Source. According to Forrest Reserch, Giuseppe Paternò is among the top OpenStack’s consultants in the world and rated #12 in the OpenStack community. He also cooperates with key European companies as a trusted advisor, mainly on virtualization & cloud technologies.

Most European telecommunications, government and finance organizations are among his customers. Giuseppe has a strong background in the Open Source world, where he played an important role for Canonical (the company behind Ubuntu), RedHat, Sun Microsystems, and IBM.

He also has extensive knowledge about Information Security and served as Visiting Professor and Researcher at the University of Trinity College Dublin in 2009.
