We are looking for experienced Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) who are able to assist our customers in getting the most out of their systems. Whether you prefer professional or managed services, a SRE role can be very varied and we hire from different backgrounds: system administrators, software engineers, and hybrids.
The day to day work is varied but in general you tend to be focused on a set of services that make up all or part of a product or a system. As an SRE you work at a higher level of abstraction than traditional pure systems administration and focus on the application/services that you support, using and building tools and abstractions to deal with scaled systems.
There are ample opportunities to write software (from automation to making performance or reliability improvements to the systems you support) but you have a broader view than in a typical pure software engineering role. E.g. work on reducing the memory footprint of a messaging systems.
You are someone with a strong fascination for IT Operations and Operability, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Open Source. Your seniority makes you a trustworthy counterpart to help decision makers get the most out of their Operability journey.
Ideally, you are involved in one or more well-established Open Source communities, and you have a proven track record in putting Operability at work.
This position is open to anyone who can legally work in UK.
